This page explains how to request deletion of your Salt & Pepper Events account and the personal data associated with it, operated by SaltPepper AI Private Limited (Silpukhuri, Guwahati, Assam, India). You can make this request from within the app, or here, without reinstalling the app.
1. How to request deletion
The quickest way is inside the app: open Account → Delete account. You'll confirm with a one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number, so only you can start the request.

2. What happens after you request
- We verify your identity using your registered mobile number (the in-app flow does this with an OTP).
- If you have an event that is still upcoming, or a payment that is pending or in progress, we may need to complete or resolve it first — we will let you know if anything is outstanding.
- Your account is then deactivated and enters a 30-day grace period, during which you can cancel the request by signing back in or contacting us.
- After the grace period, your personal data is permanently deleted, except records we are legally required to keep (see Section 4).
3. What is deleted
- Your profile and contact details (name, mobile number, email if provided).
- Your saved event details, delivery addresses, and any reviews or ratings you posted.
- Device identifiers and push-notification (FCM) tokens.
- Approximate/precise location data captured for venue discovery and delivery addresses.
4. What is retained, and why

Payment card / UPI details are handled by our payment gateway (Razorpay) and are never stored by Salt & Pepper. Retained records are access-restricted and used only for legal, accounting, and audit purposes — not for marketing or any other use.
5. How long it takes
We acknowledge your request promptly and complete deletion within 30 days, as required by India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, excluding the statutory-retention records described above.
